LAMENESS EXAMINATION
The experienced veterinarians at PVH are available to help diagnose any lameness issue that may arise with your horse. We are well equipped to deal with racehorses, sports horses, or your child's riding pony.
PRE PURCHASE EXAMS
Our team of experienced equine vets provide pre-purchase examinations stages 1-2, and stages 1-5, as well as any extra diagnostics such as x-rays, endoscopy, ECG, or ultrasonography, should you require it.
DYNAMIC ENDOSCOPY
PVH is proud to offer dynamic respiratory endoscopy. This new technology enables us to veiw respiratory problems in real time and has revolutionised the way we investigate wind issues in performance horses.
DIGITAL X-RAY
PVH has portable digital radiography providing us with high quality x-ray images instantly at your yard. This enables us to achieve a fast and accurate diagnosis.
INTERNAL MEDICINE
We can provide hospital care for your sick horse, as well as on-farm examinations and diagnostics to get the the root of your horse's medical problem.
PORTABLE ULTRASOUND
PVH also has portable digital ultrasound allowing us to view your horse's soft tissue injuries on farm or in the clinic.
BREEDING SERVICES
PVH offers breeding services such as pregnancy scans, artificial insemination (fresh or frozen semen), mare and foal care, even embryo transfer.
REFERRAL SURGERY
PVH is proud to offer orthopaedic, wind, and soft tissue surgery. We have a purpose built surgical suite and work closely with our specialist consultant surgeon, Dr Barbara Hunter from Matamata Vets.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
At PVH, we offer chiropractic treatment or other physiotherapy options to help with many poor performance issues. Dr Sarah Daly is one of a few vets in NZ internationally certified in animal chiropractic.
REGENERATIVE MEDICINE
PVH can provide your horse with the newest in regenerative technologies, such as PRP, iRAP, ACS, and Stem Cell treatments
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
We also have a portable focused extracorporeal shock wave system which can help with numerous musculoskeletal disorders, ranging from tendon and ligament injuries to back pain and other soft tissue injuries.
